TMC network GlobalStar Travel Management has strengthened its presence in Asia by signing up China-based Tongcheng Corporate Travel as its newest partner.
GlobalStar, which was ranked as the fourth largest TMC network in Europe in BTN Europe’s list of the region's Leading TMCs 2022, said the move marked a “significant extension” of its footprint in Asia.
James Stevenson, GlobalStar’s CEO, said: “To have a partner like Tongcheng join our network is tremendous. The Asian market is intricate. There is nothing like deep, local knowledge and expertise.”
Tongcheng Corporate Travel, which was first established in 2003, is affiliated to the Tongcheng Tourism Group and offers a “one stop” service platform for corporate clients in China.
Leon Huang, CEO at Tongcheng Corporate Travel, added: “Joining the network will not only help us to continue the growth of our business but also to promote China’s business travel management expertise globally.”
