The Business Travel Association (BTA) is to provide a corporate travel perspective to a key campaign run by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).
The BTA will provide crucial information about business travel to be included in the FCDO’s Travel Aware campaign. The association will also promote the FCDO’s global travel advice to its TMC members.
Travel Aware, which has been running since 2014, aims to increase confidence among travellers making international trips and “understand the steps that need to be taken for a safe and enjoyable trip”.
Clive Wratten, CEO of the BTA, said: “Providing insight into business travel needs, adds a vital dimension to the previously leisure-led campaign from the FCDO.
“Our members and partners will now be able to provide business travellers with clear information ahead of travelling internationally for work.”
The BTA will attend its first roundtable meeting with the FCDO to discuss international travel advice in September.
Jennifer Anderson, director of consular at the FCDO, added: “We are delighted that the BTA is now a Travel Aware partner and look forward to working with them to provide essential information to business travellers, including the FCDO’s global travel advice.”
