French business travel platform Swile Travel has expanded its partnership with Trainline to give access to more European rail content.
Swile Travel, formerly known as Okarito, will be able to offer increased domestic, as well as international rail content, through the new deal with Trainline Partner Solutions.
Users of Swile’s “all-in-one” business travel app will have access to services from major operators including SNCF, TER, Lyria, Thalys and Eurostar. Content from international rail companies such as Trenitalia and Deutsche Bahn will also be added to the Swile platform in the “near future”.
Brice Huet, co-founder of Swile Travel, said: “In addition to offering more rail content and simplifying train travel planning with Trainline, we strongly believe that this partnership will encourage more business travellers and employees to opt for rail as their preferred way to reduce their carbon footprint."
Trainline will also offer an online after-sales service for travellers booking through Swile’s app, which allows users to manage bookings, refunds and ticket exchanges.
Liz Emmott, director of distribution at Trainline Partner Solutions, added: “When we signed the first partnership in 2020, we were convinced that Swile Travel was the next generation of TMC.
“Indeed, we have seen exponential growth in train bookings through Swile Travel, increasing tenfold. This has further encouraged us to renew this partnership as Swile Travel expands its reach in France.”
