Eurostar has unveiled plans for the refurbishment of its business lounge in Brussels-Midi, as part of a programme of station improvements.
The Brussels business lounge, which will close on August 2, will undergo a complete facelift before it re-opens in October.
Seating capacity will be increased, wifi connectivity improved and an upgrade in lighting.
While the lounge is closed, Business Premier passengers and Eurostar Frequent Traveller carte blanche holders can go to the general information desk in the Eurostar departure lounge to pick up vouchers for wifi and drink from the Coffee Club cafe. They can also make taxi bookings and collect complimentary newspapers and magazines.
Mikaël Lemarchand, Eurostar director of stations, said: “The transformation of our business lounge facilities in Brussels-Midi station is the latest phase of our ambitious plan to overhaul our passenger terminals.
“We want to offer our customers a seamless journey whether on our core routes or connecting journeys and the works will see improvements to facilities and an increase in capacity alongside a fresh, new look and feel.”
The refurbishment is part of a series of improvements across Eurostar terminals – A new ticket office at London St. Pancras was completed this month, and work has started at Lille Europe station.
