Turkish Airlines and Emirates have reported that
the U.S. has lifted the ban on large personal electronic devices aboard flights
from those carriers' home airports to U.S. airports. Istanbul Ataturk Airport
and Dubai International Airport were among
the 10 airports that have operated with the ban since March. The U.S. Department
of Homeland Security lifted
the ban at Abu Dhabi earlier this week. In addition, Saudia is working with
Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation to implement DHS
security requirements and expects the U.S. to lift the ban from airports in
Riyadh and Jeddah by July 19.
