India's Jet Airways is broadening its partnership with Delta
Air Lines and Air France-KLM with added codeshares and full reciprocity among
the carriers' frequent-flyer programs.
Jet Airways, part of the Etihad
Airways Partners network, already codeshares with the carriers on select
routes and provides frequent-flyer reciprocity with Air France-KLM, and the new
agreement, pending government approval, will grow that combined network as of
Oct. 30. Delta will add its code to Jet Airways connections leaving Paris and
Amsterdam for India's Calicut, Coimbatore, Goa, Indore, Jaipur, Lucknow,
Mangalore, Pune, Trivandrum and Vadodara. Delta already codeshares with Jet
Airways on nine other Indian destinations, and Air France-KLM codeshares on 10.
Delta will codeshare on Jet Airways' Mumbai-Paris flights,
and Jet Airways will codeshare on all Delta flights between Paris and the
United States, which coves 13 destinations. Additionally, Jet Airways will
codeshare on Air France's flights between Paris and 12 North American
destinations. Jet Airways already codeshares with Air France on flights between
Paris and 28 European destinations.
Jet Airways will add nine routes from Amsterdam to the
current 10 leaving from that market on which it codeshares with Delta. Jet
Airways and KLM currently codeshare on KLM flights between Amsterdam and 30
European destinations.
The new agreement also adds reciprocity between Jet Airways'
JetPrivilege program and Delta SkyMiles.
