ONEWORLD bosses have gathered for the first time since Iberia joined the coalition with Madrid the venue. The new Ecuadorian airline LanEcuador was welcomed into the alliance as an affiliate. LanEcuador is part of the LanChile group which includes LanChile itself, its Chilean domestic operator LanExpress and Peruvian carrier LanPeru, all affiliates. It was also confirmed that they would be sharing check-in, ticketing and lounge facilities at more airports around the world, following steps taken recently at Amsterdam, Bogota, Brussels, Buenos Aires, Heathrow, Madrid, Miami, Singapore, Stockholm and a variety of other destinations, providing better facilities than they could justify on their own and increasing alliance efficiency.
