EASYJET is in an expansion mood and says it will shortly be announcing three new routes from Luton in addition to the Dortmund start-up in September plus Krakow and Warsaw in October.
With the new destinations in place 22 routes will be served form the north London airport, operated by a mixed Airbus and Boeing fleet of 16 aircraft.
Also confirmed are new daily services from Berlin Schonefeld airport to Geneva, Krakow, Ljubljana and Madrid this autumn, making a total of 16 routes operated by seven aircraft.
Over the next three years easyJet plans to take delivery of just over 100 aircraft.
And on the Luton news front Ryanair is to base a further four new Boeing 737-800 aircraft at the airport and add Girona, Reus, Dinard, Esbjerg, Murcia, Nimes, Ciampino (Rome), Vasteras (Stockholm) and Treviso (Venice) to its existing Dublin and Bergamo (Milan) destinations.
The airline expects to carry 1.6m passengers to and from Luton this year.
