ZOOM AIRLINES, the Montreal-based charter carrier, is to introduce two-class scheduled services between the UK and Canada in 2004. Flights will operate from Gatwick and Glasgow to Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver. Earlier this year Zoom leased a Boeing 767-ER300 and began transatlantic charter flights from Glasgow, Manchester and Gatwick on behalf of a number of holiday and flight operators. The company has added two more 268-seat Boeing 767-ER300s to its fleet. Only established in 2000 Zoom Airlines is headed by Canadian Scotsman Hugh Boyle, the former owner of Direct Holidays, now part of MyTravel.
