AIR ZIMBABWE had to cancel its flights for a whole day last week after running out of fuel. The airline, rather like the country it represents, seems to stagger from crisis to crisis, ABTN reporting during the summer of cancellations and re-routing. The airline currently operates two 737-200 and two 767-200ER. It has long haul routes to Gatwick, Beijing, Singapore and to Dubai, where, it is reported it had but a single passenger on a particular flight. British Airways serves Harare from Heathrow four times per week.
