Icelandic low-cost carrier Wow Air is launching a premium fare option for transatlantic flights, which it says ‘enhances’ the services of its Wow biz offering announced last year.
The new ticket bundle includes a larger seat with at least 37 inches of legroom and a footrest, priority boarding and fast-track security, an in-flight meal and drinks, one carry-on and one personal item, and two checked bags, as well as no change fee for rescheduling and cancellation protection.
Premium fares are available on selected flights to Iceland from Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York JFK and Newark airports, as well as flights from those airports to London Gatwick or Stansted, Amsterdam and Paris.
Skuli Mogensen, founder and CEO of Wow Air, said: “We have received great interest from businesses that want to provide their employees that travel with a more comfortable experience at affordable prices that are not currently available. We believe we can be a leader in this market by offering a premium product at half the price of our competitors and look forward to continuing to lower prices over the Atlantic.”
