BREAKING NEWS:
Figures published today by OAG show that the world”s airlines are providing 280m seats in July, a rise of 5.5% over the same month last year. The figures are revealed in the data provider”s latest Quarterly Airline Traffic Statistics, a snapshot of airline activity around the world. OAG collates information from more than 1,000 scheduled airlines, on a daily basis, which provides a unique overview of anticipated travel demand versus historical trends. The big growth areas are within Asia, 4.5m more seats and Europe with 3.9m additional capacity. On a global basis the budget sector has added nearly 5m seats, 2.5m of which have been in Europe.
