Low-cost carrier Wizz Air has reported huge growth across its European network, carrying 30 million passengers in the last 12 months.
The airline’s operations have increased 24 per cent in the past year. Wizz has established several new routes from Luton airport recently, and is in the process of adding 700 weekly flights to its roster with the delivery of 21 Airbus aircraft.
Sorina Ratz, acting head of corporate communications at Wizz Air, said: “We are proud to reach yet another significant milestone in Wizz’s success story, with a new passenger record in the past rolling 12-month period. We continue to be one of Europe’s fastest-growing airlines, with a strong and consistent double-digit growth every year, providing even more opportunities for our customers to travel at truly low prices.”
