WIZZ AIR, the east European airline, has become one of the first of the new breed of budget carriers to introduce its summer schedule 2005 including new destinations and increased frequencies on existing routes. Starting from 27 March 2005 Wizz Air will add from Budapest: Frankfurt-Hahn, Barcelona-Girona, Athens and Katowice. From Katowice, Hahn and Gdansk join the network, whilst from Gdansk as well as Katowice, Stockholm is added. Wizz Air has become the biggest low cost carrier in Central and Eastern Europe just a couple of months after its start in May this year. Since the launch of the airline about half a million passengers have been carried. It flies to Liverpool and Luton in the UK.
