BRITISH MEDITERRANEAN AIRWAYS, British Airways” sole long haul independent franchise partner, has made some significant changes for the winter season. Flights to the Syrian capital Damascus benefit from a significant increase to six services a week up from four, every day apart from Sunday outbound. Flights on Friday and Saturday operate non-stop representing further passenger capacity. The other major enhancement to the schedule is the combined Alexandria, Egypt and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, route which sees the extra fourth service continue into the winter. Services to the Lebanese capital Beirut will continue to operate at a daily frequency with dedicated services on Friday and Saturday outbound resulting in greater capacity.
