PRESTWICK AIRPORT'S new face will start appearing this autumn as the airport's expansion and re-development plans gather pace. Ryanair has announced four new routes to D”sseldorf and Hamburg (Germany), Pisa (Italy) and Murcia (Spain) bringing the total destinations served from the Scottish lowland airport to 19. The fabric of the airport itself will change with a massive facelift to the terminal (some will say not before time) including new floor coverings and more retail outlets. The airport still remains the only one in Scotland served by a dedicated railway station with regular services to Glasgow and to the south.
