DARWIN, currently only linked with Sydney by Qantas, is to gain Virgin Blue who launch non-stop flights from Saturday, 14 June.
The airline already flies between Brisbane and Darwin, which is the capital of the Northern Territories On 6 June the carrier introduces a Sydney-Alice Springs service.
Boeing 737 series aircraft form the backbone of the operation but don't look for a blue aircraft when visiting Sydney next. Virgin Blue's Boeings are all red!
