VIRGIN ATLANTIC and its Australian ”cousin” Virgin Blue announced a code share last Wednesday 8 December, this coinciding with the arrival at Sydney of the first ever VS flight down under.
The arrangement is expected to take effect by April 2005 and will initially be for passengers travelling to and from London via Hong Kong to Sydney and onward to Brisbane, Coolangatta and Melbourne with Virgin Blue.
Virgin Blue currently serves 21 destinations across metropolitan and regional Australia, as well as four International destinations taking in New Zealand, Vanuatu and Fiji.
