ABTN is able to report that the replica Vickers Vimy highlighted in our publication over the last few weeks has finally made it across the North Atlantic. Flown by Steve Fossett and Mark Rebhol the aircraft left St Johns (Newfoundland) on the evening of Saturday 2 July and landed on a golf course in Clifden some 20 hours later. Our photo shows the aircraft over the west coast of Ireland just before what was described as a perfect landing.
