UNITED AIRLINES is to become the latest major carrier to foster a budget airline offspring. The airline, the world”s second largest, and based at Chicago, will introduce its currently unnamed issue at its Denver hub in February 2004, with four Airbus A320 planes. By the end of the year UAL Corporation”s subsidiary will have 40 156-seat aircraft flying on the low cost operation, almost half of which will be based in Denver. From Denver, the low cost operation will fly to Reno and Las Vegas, Nevada, Phoenix, Arizona, New Orleans, Louisiana, Tampa and Orlando (Florida) and Ontario (California). http://www.united.com
