VIETNAM is again joined to the USA by direct air services 30 years since Pan Am flew its last scheduled flight from Saigon (immortalised by a Hollywood TV drama in 1990 ”Last Flight Out”.
Last week United Airlines introduced a daily service to the same destination, now called Ho Chi Minh City, a ubiquitous Boeing 747 operating out of San Francisco via Hong Kong. For the future non-stop flights are planned.
