UKRAINIAN AIRLINES INTERNATIONAL expects passenger numbers to increase by more than a third this year, and it plans to add at least three new Boeing aircraft by the end of 2006. The airline had initially planned to boost the number of passengers to 840,000 this year from 640,000 in 2004 but revised the forecast upwards after a good start to the year. Ukrainian also plans to increase its fleet from nine, to between 12 and 14 aircraft by the end of 2006.
