OPEN SKIES may not be happening between the UK and the US but it is a
fact now from the United Kingdom to Canada following the signing of a
new agreement between the two Commonwealth countries. From 1 September
British airlines will be able to offer virtually unlimited passenger
and cargo flights to and from third countries via Canada, and likewise
Canadian carriers in the other direction. Currently at least 12
operators offer air services between the two countries linking nine
Canadian cities and eight cities in the United Kingdom.
