Chinese carrier Tianjin Airlines looks set to launch its first flights to the UK later this year, with a twice-weekly A330 service.
According to industry website airlineroute.net the airline will offer a Tianjin-Chongqing-Gatwick route from June 25, with flights departing China on Wednesday and Saturday at 0905, landing into London at 2025.
The return leg will leave Gatwick at 2225, arriving back into Tianjin at 2235 the following day.
It’s not clear if this will be a permanent or seasonal route, and as yet there has been no official confirmation either from Tianjin Airlines or Gatwick airport.
The carrier's website homepage does show a graphic saying "London, we are coming!", but at the time of writing it did not link through to a page with more details.
Tianjin Airlines currently operates a fleet of Embraer and Airbus A320 aircraft, but is set to take delivery of its first A330 in the coming months.
