BRISTOW HELICOPTERS, which dates back to Air Whaling Ltd of 1949 (Bristow since 1953), is to finally re-brand itself.
”Bristow” is the new corporate identity for all the businesses incorporating Bristow Helicopters, its American counterparts Air Logistics, and Grasso
Production Management which operate in the Gulf of Mexico.
These companies will continue to use the above names in their respective markets alongside the new Bristow name and logo.
Explaining the decision to re-brand, William E. Chiles, the Group”s president and CEO said, ”The Bristow name has been adopted as the global corporate title because of its widely recognised image around the world”.
Alan Bristow (born 1923) is very much retired these days and might describe himself as a Sussex farmer.
The Aberdeen base is the headquarters of Bristow”s European operations, with 35 aircraft servicing offshore oil and gas installations in the North Sea and west of Shetland.
The Bristow Group, with 450 aircraft worldwide, provides helicopter transportation services in most oil and gas producing regions including the USA, the Gulf of Mexico, Alaska, the North Sea, Africa, South America, Australia, Russia, Egypt and the Far East.
