THAI AIRASIA, the sister company of Southeast Asia”s leading low fare airline AirAsia, will start services between Bangkok and Xiamen on April 25 2005. The launch of flights means the carrier is the first low fare, no frills airline in Asia to gain entry into the People”s Republic of China. The carrier already has an extensive operation in south-east Asia, but sees China as a very important future market.
