TEMPELHOF AIRPORT, near the centre of Berlin, continues to defy gravity (or at least those opposed to its existence) with the news late last week that one of its major carriers, SN Brussels Airlines, is to continue services from the airport. Following a court decision noted in ABTN last week (and the subject of much correspondence from ABTN German readers) THF will remain open indefinitely. SN Brussels, whom it had been alleged had been lured away by Berlin Tegel Airport, after initially announcing a move, will continue with four Avro RJ return flights to the European capital weekdaily. Germania, Cirrus and now SN Brussels are definitely staying at the airport. The winter season starts next Sunday!
