TASMAN EXPRESS, not a budget airline, according to the press release, has taken off ”down under”. An offspring of Air New Zealand, the carrier says it will deliver significantly lower fares for travel between New Zealand and Australia featuring more than 100 flights per week from Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown to six Australian destinations. The operation is two class and amongst a number of innovations is the ending of the Saturday night stopover restrictions.
