TAG Farnborough airport has announced a record increase of 17.9 per cent in air traffic movements in January 2018.
The airport says 2017 as a whole saw year-on-year growth in air traffic movements of 7.4 per cent. Movements from Asia increased 13 per cent, while those from Africa and Europe were up 10 per cent each.
TAG Farnborough says it handles around 25,000 flights per year but has received approval to increase to 50,000 flights by 2019. It claims its facilities can cater for a range of aircraft, including Boeing business jets and Airbus corporate jets.
