SWISS INTERNATIONAL AIR LINES new business class only service between Zurich and Newark New York moved a step closer last week when executive aviation specialist PrivatAir took delivery of the first Boeing Business Jet 2 (BBJ2). In fact this aircraft represents the fifth Boeing in PrivatAir's fleet, in addition to four Airbus. One Boeing 757 and two Boeing Business Jets are based in Geneva for private charter; another BBJ operates the six times a week Lufthansa service between Munich and Newark, configured with 48 all-business class seats. The routes operated out of D”sseldorf are served with two Airbus A319LR, linking the German city with Chicago and Newark non-stop. The new BBJ2 will be equipped with 56 lie-flat business class seats, the first all business class aircraft to be so configured.
