SWISS INTERNATIONAL AIRLINES chief executive Andre Dose confirmed to the Zurich based weekly news magazine Finanz und Wirtschaft last week that the airline was in discussions with other carriers including Lufthansa, British Airways and Air France of a co-operation deal or a merger. Created only in March 2002 from the remains of Swissair, Swiss has missed its financial targets during a period which has put all mainline carrier airlines under stress.
