Stobart Aviation, part of the Stobart Group, has launched a new executive jet fixed based operator (FBO) at Southend airport.
The new Stobart Jet Centre is expected to cater for 5,000 flights per year by 2022, according to Stobart Aviation.
Stobart says the centre will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 364 days a year. Car services will be able to drive directly to the plane, and helicopter transfers to and from Canary Wharf or Battersea heliports are available.
The company also claims there are no slot restrictions at Southend and there are immigration and customs facilities within the jet centre, while pre-clearance is available for qualifying passengers. The centre offers a VIP lounge with complimentary catering, refreshments and business services, as well as a private lounge for crew.
