STANSTED users during the school holidays should give themselves more
time in getting to the airport. The new parking arrangements in the
both the drop off and short term areas, due to be completed by the end
of July, are still not ready, although will be a considerable
improvement when completed. However much of the short-term area is
now available again. The mid-term parking offers quick access at a
reasonable price for those only away for a short period. The M11 is
still something of a gamble and seems to be more accident-prone that
the M4 past Heathrow. The Stansted Slow (the misnamed Stansted Express
with its ancient non-air conditioned carriages) continues to cause
frustration to all connected with the airport, plans for a major
improvement (or even a monorail) still not announced.
