Travel technology platform Cartrawler has partnered with London start-up Splyt to develop a connection with airlines that will allow passengers to compare mobility options from their carrier’s app.
The integration gives airline customers access to inventory from multiple mobility companies around the world, including Careem, Cabify and Mytaxi via a single Splyt API.
The technology partnership says it will allow customers to avoid downloading unfamiliar transport apps when arriving in a new destination, as they can search, book and pay for rides from their airline’s app. Frequent flyers will also be able to use their loyalty points or air miles to pay.
In addition, Cartrawler says rail company apps powered by Cartrawler can integrate with Splyt’s ride-hailing inventory, which covers more than 360 cities across 29 countries.
The integration will be rolled out in the coming weeks, with some airlines already signed up for the service.
