Southend airport says it is set to boost the number of flights on Flybe routes by 80 per cent from next summer.
Airport owner Stobart reports Southend will offer up to 230 flights a week between June 17 and September 9 2018. In addition to increasing frequency on popular services, Stobart Air along with its partner Flybe announced a new route to Antwerp, which will operate four times a week.
A total of 15 routes will benefit from extra seats, including Budapest, Cologne, Vienna, Prague, Rennes, Caen and Lyon. The partnership has also introduced a new aircraft to the fleet, bringing the total to five based at the airport.
