SINGAPORE AIRLINES may be moving to Terminal 1 at Heathrow sometime in 2008 but that has not stopped the carrier even further improving its existing facilities at Terminal 3 where by the end of the year it expects to welcome the Airbus A380, the stand already complete (see picture - but with 747's). The airline”s SilverKris Lounge welcomes almost 57,000 passengers annually. With a two-year contract catering experts Baxter and Platts have re-invented both the first and business class lounges, now offering a taste of Singapore fusion food influenced by its Malay, Chinese, and Indian cultures. In the first class lounge, diners can enjoy a sit down meal from a new a la carte menu. They can also try local Singapore dishes. The business class lounge has also been upgraded.
