SHOREHAM AIRPORT has been put up for sale by its joint owners Brighton and Hove City and Worthing Borough Councils. First established in the 1930s the fully licensed airport has never grown much beyond the general aviation stage and has a single 820m runway, too short for even the modern 50-seat turboprops. The site extends to about 250 acres, has potential for further development and a property income of ”840,000. The airport is well located just by the A27 halfway between Brighton and Worthing.
