Airline Swiss has revealed its new first and business class seats, which will be introduced on its fleet of new Airbus A350s-900s later this year.
The new product, called Swiss Senses, was unveiled at Zurich Airport on Tuesday (29 July). The cabins will be installed on the airline’s first A350-900, which is due to be delivered in October.
The new aircraft will initially be deployed on European services before being used on the Zurich-Boston route during the coming winter season.
The Lufthansa Group-owned airline described the new premium cabins as the “biggest product investment in the company’s history”. The business class and first class seats are essentially the same as Lufthansa’s new Allegris product with a different colour scheme.
All seats in the new Swiss Business cabin will provide direct aisle access, with selected seats featuring a sliding door. Seats convert into a lie-flat bed measuring between 2 and 2.2 metres. There will also be heating and cooling functions, plus a wireless charging station.
Swiss First features suites with sliding doors, a personal wardrobe, large seat table, wireless charging and entertainment screen “as wide as the suite itself”. The centre suite can also be configured for two people travelling together.
Elsewhere in the aircraft, premium economy seats will offer a seat pitch of just under one metre, while economy have been designed to offer “considerably more at-seat space” and feature a 13-inch HD screen.
Swiss chief commercial officer Heike Birlenbach said the new A350 cabins would provide an “even more personal, exclusive and individual air travel experience”.
“Our new seats are the centrepiece of our new aircraft cabins,” added Birlenbach. “But Swiss Senses appeals to all the senses – with its special lighting concept, for instance, and also with our new scent that has been specially created for Swiss.”
All of the carrier’s new A350-900s will be delivered with the Swiss Senses cabin installed. It will also be “gradually extended” to Swiss’s existing fleets of Airbus A330-300 and Boeing 777-300ERs.
Swiss’s A350 flights departing from 1 January 2026 onwards are now bookable.
