Ryanair expects to cut fares by up to 12 per cent in the next six months.
The no-frills airline confirmed the price drop for winter 2016/17 after seeing traffic grow 13 per cent to 10.8 million passengers for September.
The Irish carrier’s chief marketing officer Kenny Jacobs said: “Ryanair’s September traffic grew by 13 per cent to 10.8m customers, while our load factor jumped 1 per cent point to 95 per cent, on the back of lower fares... we expect average fares to fall by between 10 per cent to 12 per cent in the six months to March 2017.”
