OASIS HONG KONG AIRLINES, a start-up budget carrier, has won licences
to operate a number of European and USA routes and is to hold a press
conference in London in August to confirm the first flight date,
likely to be in October. The airline plans to operate five times per
week from Gatwick with a lead in fare as low as ”75. The airline is
also targeting Milan, Berlin, Cologne/Bonn and Oakland San Francisco
Bay. Behind the new carrier as chief executive is Stephen Miller,
founder of Dragonair, who confirms that the airline”s Boeing 747-400
aircraft will offer 81 luxury business class seats and 278 in economy.
