ROTTERDAM is the main beneficiary of a significant policy decision by Basiq Air, the budget operation owned by Transavia/KLM. For next summer Rotterdam Airport will be the hub for a series of new destinations including Berlin, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, Dublin, and Gerona. In addition, Basiq Air's twice-daily services to Stansted will be operated out of Rotterdam rather than Schiphol. This means a total of nine Basiq Air destinations will be served out of Rotterdam, including the daily services to Alicante and Malaga. VLM currently has up to nine flights daily between London City and Rotterdam.
