ROBIN HOOD DONCASTER AIRPORT is on time for its planned opening at the end of April. With its long history as RAF Finningley (1936-1996) no problems are expected from a technical point of view. The new passenger building is now virtually complete and some 2,500 car park spaces have been laid out. Thomsonfly, Thomas Cook Airlines and Ryanair have confirmed operations from day one. A series of 'proving' flights will take place using regular passenger aircraft between now and 28 April 2005.
