HIGHLAND AIRWAYS, now emerging as a serious Scottish domestic carrier, has introduced a roaming ticket. Whilst not unique, it is probably a first for the UK.
The ticket takes advantage of Highland Airways” increasingly comprehensive air network in the Western Isles and is aimed at both the business and leisure market.
Developed to suit the needs of travellers wishing to undertake a whistle-stop tour around the West of Scotland the holder can complete four separate journeys with Highland Airways within a specified five day period for the highly attractive all-in price of ”250 (including all taxes).
It will for instance allow a traveller to start at Inverness on a Monday morning ” spend the day in Glasgow ” travel to Benbecula the next day and also spend time there.
Once their Uist business is complete the passenger can then fly onto Stornoway, and back to their starting point in Inverness at a convenient time within the pre-agreed schedule.
