BREAKING NEWS is that Steve Fossett's re-enactment of Alcock & Brown's first Transatlantic crossing in a replica Vickers Vimy has been put back until Wednesday, firstly due to minor technical problems with the aircraft and secondly the necessity of a suitable weather window. The projected course will take the Vimy over St John”s Harbor on a course heading due east, with an arrival in Clifden, Ireland, approximately 18-20 hours after take-off. The landing location will be the Connemara Championship Golf Links.
