QANTAS has significantly boosted capacity between Australia and the UK with the introduction of new Sydney ” Hong Kong ” London and Perth ” Singapore ” London services. These flights compete head on with increased schedules by various airlines in the Middle East and the December introduction of Virgin Atlantic flights also via Hong Kong. Australia is now linked to the UK by QF with 27 weekly flights. Qantas will add a fourth weekly service to the UK via Hong Kong in 2005 and has approval to operate a further three services from April 2006. Qantas is now also once again visible in Paris following a codeshare with Air France. Customers will fly on Qantas services between Australia and Singapore and then connect to daily Air France flights between Singapore and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.
