MANSTON AIRPORT”S owner, the PlaneStation Group plc, has signed a conditional agreement with Irish airline company EUjet with the intent of the airport becoming EUjet's hub in the UK. Based at Shannon, EUjet was created last year as a collaborative venture including debis AirFinance (part of the Daimler Chrysler group). CEO is the colourful PJ McGoldrick who headed the now defunct TransAer. The airline was created as a home for a number of Fokker 100 aircraft owned by debis AirFinance. EUjet currently provides fully supported aircraft to airlines and tour companies, as well as operating charter flights for Europe's premier tour operators out of Dublin, Birmingham, Bergamo and Milan. EUjet also operates aircraft on behalf of Air France. It is expected that a route selection process will be complete by 14 April 2004 and that the first flight will take place on 14 June 2004.
