PIAGGIO, the Italian business aircraft manufacturer, has gained UK certification for its Avanti twin pusher turboprop. One of the most exotic and strangest looking aircraft around it could only be designed by Italians. It is very quick for a propeller driven aircraft with a cruise speed of 450 mph. The first British registered aircraft is operated by Skylink who plan to use it both as an executive aircraft and in an air ambulance role. The 9-passenger aircraft is approved to operate out of London City Airport.
