Philippine Airlines is to move a bigger Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on to its Heathrow-Manila route from next month.
The airline had been due to make the aircraft switch from the current Airbus A340 in December but this has now been brought forward to September 19.
The Boeing 777-300ER includes 42 business class seats plus 328 seats in economy, compared with a total of 254 seats on the A340.
David Cochrane, country manager for Philippine Airlines, said: “we are thrilled to deliver a truly premium experience onboard a brand new aircraft to our guests visiting The Philippines and beyond.”
Business class seats on the 777-300ER have a pitch of 78 inches and adjust into fully-flat beds – they also include an 18.4-inch TV screens and retractable privacy dividers.
