The inaugural flight of the new Boeing 777 on Philippine Airlines’ London to Manila route took off on September 19, with daily flights beginning in December. The carrier says use of the aircraft will increase capacity on the service.
Daily services begin on December 6, with flights departing from Heathrow Terminal 3 at 22.20 and arriving in Manila at 19.15 local time. The new aircraft features 42 seats in business class and 328 in economy.
The airline says business-class seats adjust into fully-flat beds and feature an 18.4-inch TV screen, retractable privacy divider and in-seat power supply for charging devices via mains or USB, along with storage space. Meanwhile, economy seats offer a seat pitch of up to 34 inches and built-in USB ports that give customers access to Philippine Airlines’ in-flight entertainment.
To mark the launch of the new aircraft, Philippine Airlines says it is offering tickets on the route booked before October 15 starting at £505 including taxes.
