Peter Bath, chairman of Bath Travel, has died at the age of 79. Peter took over as chairman after the death of his father, Reginald, who founded the company in 1924. Peter handed over management of Bath Travel to his sons, Andrew and Stephen, in 1992, and the two continue to run the company to this day.
Peter enjoyed a successful career in the travel industry, and established tour operating company Palmair Flightline, flying 737-200 aircraft on charter from European Aviation Air Charter in Bournemouth.
He was awarded an MBE for his services to the travel industry and charity in 2005.
